Wow. This was a scenic fast race. Not crowded. Was so cool to run residential areas with so many fans as well as Texas A&M area. Smoothly organized. Great spirit. When there was trouble playing national anthem the runners took over.

"Best course I've run, best swag afterwards" (about: 2017)

I appreciated the expo available at packet pick-up, although it was a little disorganized, confusing, and cramped. The course was the best course I've ever run (downhill finish!!). The race had ample parking near the start corral. The traffic management across busy streets where there was police was a little haywire, but overall okay I suppose. Loved that I received a shirt, jacket, medal for the entry fee.

Second time to run this event. From start to finish a 5 star event. Registration is easy, emails that follow with a training plan and inspirational words of encouragement are motivating. The course and spectators are top notch. I plan to participate for years to come. I would recommend this to anyone. My favorite event 2nd year in a row.

Everything about this race was spot on. It was the most organized, well run machine and the purpose of the race was never lost. I've never felt more valued as a racer and would highly suggest this race to any new or experienced runner. From the training plans before the race, the swag and after race food to the Mercy Project photos, this race was above and beyond all of my expectations. From a philanthropic standpoint, they know how to raise money too. I was a VIP runner (made a donation) and my husband ran as a normal registrant. We both had the same incredible experience but the VIP perks were lovely if you're interested in making an additional impact.

Originally was just coming up to watch a friend run the Full Marathon. Since I was coming up I said heck why not run it myself( Half). I just ran the Rock and Roll half in San Antonio the week before. Weather was great. Parking at the Mall right at the start was perfect. Pretty flat course around the neighborhoods and then through the Texas A&M Campus. Plenty of water on the course for the Half Marathon Runners. Nice finisher medals, and all Half and Full Marathon runners also received a finishers jacket. Great post race amenities that included plenty of food .

"It was average." (about: 2017)

Very organized race in general, and amazing shirt and jacket and medal. there were a lot of roads not closed off to cars and I was running next to cars for awhile, there were some cars parked on the road as well. Not a lot of crowd support at alllllll. I expected a lot more students considering it went through campus, or even community members. Right after I crossed the finish line I really didn't know where to go for water, I found chocolate milk but no water and I almost missed the jackets.

I've run both distances in this race and the experience has been, bar none, one of the most enjoyable races I participate in.

I've participated in this race every year. It just gets better and better. The people, police and fire, community groups, participants, and organizers just keep getting better and better. I will continue to participate in this race as long as Mercy Project continues to rescue innocent children and give back to our local community.

His was such a well organized event. The course was fantastic. The community rallied for the participants, even the residents brought their families out and gave encouragement to the runners. I will definitely be running this race again.
