This is a well run race with a bunch of volunteers. The course is good and usually filled with spectators. The post-race food and drinks are the best.

There is no other race that I talk up more than the BCS Marathon/Half-Marathon. From beginning to end, it is spectacular. It's obvious that racers organized this race...but it's also obvious that they have a true heart for giving back to the community. Just amazing!

I loved all the support from spectators and the amount of cheering that went on during the entire race. My favorite part was the last .1 of a mile and seeing the faces of the children being rescued in Ghana!

I have heard that this is a great race. I ran it for the first time yesterday and totally agree that YES, this is a fun, safe, race with great crowd support and race support. I will defintely be back next year and recommend to all my running friends! The post race party was probably the BEST I have ever seen!

High energy at the start. Meticulously organized. Excellent touch by race director Chris who greets each finisher. Even better than that though is the kids with Down's Syndrome (one of the charities supported by this race) draping your medal around you. Touching to say the least. Course is a bit hillier than expected. Volunteers are plentiful, approachable and encouraging. Aid station are abundant and loaded with water and sports drink. Some aid stations have food too. Medical is always available along the course. Supporters, while not as massive as a larger marathon, are enthusiastic, energetic and encouraging. The mile markers are unique with artwork. You get a participant shirt, a finisher shirt, nice Swiftwick socks and a large finisher's medal.
