I've run 4 half marathons in the past 13 months and I've got to say that BCS Marathon is the best. They paid such attention to detail, such as having paintings from local elementary kids at each mile marker, having water & Gatorade stations every few miles, having the best finisher's food & drinks, and organizing awesome spectators to cheer us on. They also kept us well informed right before the race due to the weather. Most of all, proceeds go to fund the Mercy Project, which helps free enslaved children in Ghana.

I was fortunate to run this race after the Dallas race was cancelled. The organizers did a fantastic job of getting us in at the last minute without a hitch. Everything was super organized and went off perfectly. Lots of parking, great start area, very nice, relatively flat course, several very worthy charities benefiting and just lots of nice people working it. Unfortunately, I had to visit the med tent. These folks were top notch professionals and treated several people in an extremely high quality manner. If you don't want to fight the crowds in Dallas, Fort Worth, or Austin, this is an excellent venue and is supremely managed. Check it out and you will not be disappointed.

This was my first time to run in the BCS Marathon + Half Marathon - running the Half Marathon today. This is an amazing race for the following reasons 1) The down syndrome friends at the finish line who handed out our finisher medals 2) The 40 beautiful faces of African children who were trafficked into child slavery and have now been rescued by the Mercy Project 3) The awesome race director Chris Field who worked SO HARD to accommodate DFW runners who wanted to participate after the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon was cancelled 4) Chris great communication with participants as weather seemed a bit ify in College Station leading up to the race 5) Great race swag - it even included a travel size foam roller 6) Awesome race medals 7) Everything else. This race is HIGHLY recommended!

Only my second 'Half' and loved how friendly everyone was and how organized it was. Plenty of food for us 'slower' runners at the end, too. My daughter flew in from Denver to run with me. We had a great time! Will come back next year.

The course was great, and the organization was top notch. They did a great job communicating, especially considering the complicated weather situation. The crowds were great, and the shirts and post-race food were over the top. See you next year!
