"Best organized most fun race I have ever run" (about: 2012)

Ran the half marathon and runners were given as much attention and respect as full marathon runners. Chris greeting everyone at the finish was awesome!

Great support with smaller run fields. Execution was good, would have been great if the website did not go down the day before the race.

Loved it! The organization was great, the attention to detail was great, the support staff was great. I loved the experience, and even though I hurt like never before, I can't wait to do it again next year.

"Great race for a great cause!" (about: 2012)

First Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

While this has been my first marathon, I can't imagine a more thoughtful or supportive race. The care given to help new runners prepare for and run the race was evident in the large number of first-timers and played a big part in my finishing the race.

I started battling an IT/knee issue in mile 11 and had to start stretching every mile or so, and I had great encouragement from other runners and aid staff to keep going. The community was incredibly supportive and the route was perfect to show off the best parts of town.

My comments would be incomplete if I didn't mention that mission of Mercy Project helped motivate me to prepare for this race and aided in my weight loss (80+ lbs) along the way.

Thank you!

Seeing the faces of those 24 kids at the end reminded me that this race was about much more than my personal fitness goal. Thank you for the great organization, great course, and overall great experience!

Everything was really done well! I would, however, liked to have seen more vendors at the expo and some security measures at the bag drop. Other than that, all was great!! Loved the cool, wet towels!!!!

Very well organized. From the race organizer to the volunteers to the medical staff (thank goodness I didn't need them) to the course, to the after party. Will definitely run this one again!!
