"DEFINITELY COMING BACK TO THE BCS HALF!" (about: 2013)

The BCS half was an excellent race! It was so organized, the staff and volunteers were so upbeat, tons of organizations from A&M came out to support, and it is for a GREAT cause! I recommend this race to anyone and everyone wanting to run a half or full!

"Great race, great organization, light on crowd." (about: 2013)

I loved this race. In terms of organizational effort they get HIGH marks. They had more available than some of the huge marathons and certainly had more water and aid stations. Great job on the front! The only detractor was there were a few 'lonely' spots with little to no crowd support or interest. However, if you like that sort of thing, and I do, then this works for you. For my money, those are great times to zone out and hit your rhythm. The volunteers were also just superb. They were highly motivational at all the right moments. I also saw some comments about people getting lost. I don't see how that's possible. It was one of the best marked courses out there.

Very well done race, based on size and the fact it's only the third year ran! I really expect this race to get better every year!

Last year it was heat and this year cold and you all were ready for each weather element. Great to support the runner and great volunteers make it work. Next year looking for perfect weather.

This was my second time around for this race, and I am blown away at how well Chris and Jared did at keeping us informed of everything as the weather was not cooperating with us. Very organized and a very smooth race. Best race I have ever run.

Really great course, nice and flat. Aggies and locals provide great cheer stops. Additionally the race benefits the Mercy Project and definitely made me feel like my race $ helped make a difference.

The director's enthusiasm and passion is infectious. In the countless races I've run, this one feel the most personal and meaningful. In addition, the swag and post-race goodies are light years ahead of other races. Organization and communication are stellar. As an Aggie, running through campus is a very special treat.

"Awesome first marathon experience" (about: 2013)

First Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

This was my first marathon. Except for the 30 degree temperatures during the entire race, everything was awesome. The weather had nothing to do with the organization of the race. The signs made by spectators were found along the entire 26 mile route. The organizations of people from Texas A&M groups to people standing in the neighborhoods of Bryan and College Station was awesome. It was a lot of fun to have the Aggie student groups dressed in their crazy costumes give you high fives and call your name with encouraging words because it was on our bibs. A Gig 'Em(thumb up)made them much more rowdy! I'm glad miles 20-23 went though the middle of campus. I can't imagine how many more students would have shown up if it hadn't been as cold. I never expected a gorilla (person dressed in a full gorilla suit) to be sitting in a lawn chair next to a basket with bananas in it about 2 miles from the finish line. That was Epic! The aid stations, water stations, food stations, and potties were just were they needed to be and well supplied with both supplies and volunteers. I will definitely be back.

It is pleasing to see how Chris' vision and hard work is constantly improving this event. My appreciation goes to him, Jared and the many, many hard working volunteers.
