Best organized marathon I've run (35) since Marine Corps. Outstanding communication pre-event. Would have liked bigger expo but know that requires a lot more entrants and better weather for travel.

This was going to be my first and last race!!! I just wanted to get it off my bucket list and be done with it. But because of the prerace pump up and how amazing the race was with all the groups, the funny signs, Santa and seeing the faces of the children we were helping I am for sure going to do this race again! But the cherry on the cake for me was having the special needs students handing out the medals was priceless! It was an epic day for sure!!!

"Runner's Dream despite the cold" (about: 2013)

Trumping the great race organization last year, the 2013, despite freezing temperatures, was a great event. All the logistics were top notch: course markings, porta potties, water stops, friendliness of volunteers, even the cops were friendlier at road crossings, and the course was a huge improvement, being mucho fun at the last! Kudos to the crazies on campus who made a run through Aggieland even better!

Great race. Flat course. Lots of water, port-a-pots and supporters. Great tour through campus and awesome finish. Easy and ample parking.

"Best race ever. Tons of communication. Great food" (about: 2013)

First Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

There was continual communication before the race. The closer to race date, the more information that was sent out. Even with inclimate weather, the organizers were posting updates all throughout the night the night before. The race is organized for a fantastic charity that they are personally involved in. The food afterwards was incredible. Will definitely do again.

The level of detail, the care of the race directors, benefitting Mercy Project, running through a beautiful college campus, the awesome student spectators, the BEER!!! I love it all.

Organization and communication is impeccable. Combine that with their genuine interest in providing the runners with an amazing experience and contribution to charities, I'm not sure any marathon comes close.

I decided to run this race 7 months ago as my first half marathon and couldn't be happier with my decision. Everything was so well organized and we were kept in the loop when weather became a factor. Post race food was delicious and quick to get. Amazing all the way around!

I can't believe this was accomplished. As I was at mile 12 of the half-marathon, the 1st place marathoner passed me with police escort. What joy to cheer him along his way. At mile 12.8, a runner was down and being given CPR. My daughter, an RN, and I stopped. I prayed while my daughter made sure they had plenty of help. The man was resuscitated, praise God! My daughter told me on the way to the finish line she heard the daughter of the resuscitated man say 'Dad, don't leave me now'. I wept to the finish line from there. I wasn't expecting an emotional outbreak on my part, but wow, it was all a bit overwhelming.
