"The best organized and friendliest race EVER!" (about: 2012)

This race was absolutely fantastic! Starting off, they had more than enough portables so no long lines at the start, and the course was very clearly marked, with fantastic volunteers who were extremely supportive. After the race, we were treated to the best post race spread of food and drink I've ever had! The finishing medals and finisher shirts were exceptional as well. The medical support for this race was truly the best I have ever seen. They were so attentive to everyone who was racing. I would definitely recommend this race to anyone and will do it again myself!

"Race was great, some streets rough. Fans great!" (about: 2012)

I enjoyed myself, it felt great to run, even the weather wasn't so bad!

I just wish that the first set of potties (at mile 3 I assume) weren't so hard to see. Most of the people I talked to didn't see any potties til mile 6 (of the Half) and we were all very disappointed. Please make them more visible. Also, what happened to the towels at the finish? I saw some lying around but I never got one. The finish was pretty disorganized. The lines to the 'runners village' were difficult to navigate and caused us to have to stand still - hard to do after 13.1. Also, please have police mobile HQ away from the potties at the start - it make it hard to que up.

All in all, I had a great time, I felt good, and enjoyed the food and drinks after. I love the medal and the finishers shirts, as well as the shirts for participating. Thanks for everything. I look forward to your race series.

This was my first race and I think I'm spoiled for all other races. The pre-race support, encouragement and information was phenomenal. Race day, the course was great with so many volunteers and spectators encouraging us along. It was fun just to see the beautiful course and all the spectators! Post-race was great. There was so much food, I couldn't partake in it all. I will definitely be running this race again, and encourage everyone to try it! I would travel far to run this race, and I'm proud to have it in my hometown!

Organizers and volunteers did an amazing job! You guys are wonderful!! If I don't run again next year, I'm coming back as a volunteer. Our friends from Ft. Worth ran with us and were amazed by the quality of our run.

Thanks to BCS for putting on a great marathon! I was supposed to run New York this year, and I can't tell you how appreciative I was that BCS offered their marathon to would-be NYC runners for only $25. What a generous thing to do! That same spirit seemed to carry through the race - everything was very well put together and really geared toward giving all the runners a first-class experience. It was so fun to run through Aggieland, especially Northgate and the A&M campus (yes, I'm an Aggie - class of '06, whoop!). This year's weather did not really cooperate (70s and over 90% humidity - gross!), but despite having to slow down a lot, I still had a great time. Lots of good aid stations and medical stations along the route, excellent food and drink at the finish, cool medal and a finisher's dri fit shirt, and, for a small race, lots of nice support, including a lot of funny signs, even in the places where there were fewer spectators. This is also a great spectators' race: my husband was able to see me easily at 7 different points on the course, plus the finish, which was so nice. I definitely recommend this race if you like small marathons, even if you're not an Aggie - although that probably helps. :)

I ran this race last year and told everyone it was one of my favorites. I ran it again this year and was once again impressed with the organization and support. Even though the weather wasn't as great as last year, the race itself was! s
