"Great race!" (about: 2012)

Well organized race. Will definitely be running again next year.

Suggestions:
Despite the increased number of port-a-potties, there were still very long lines at the start. I would also have liked to see more on the course. There were lines at every single one throughout the half course. However, the biggest problem was a lack of toilet paper, especially at the finish.

Kid's Marathon - please have more volunteers on the course. I didn't run with my 8-yr-old because we were told they would be well-supervised. However, my daughter never made it to the finish line. After falling behind and finding no one in front of her, she turned around and started walking back until she saw an adult to ask where to go (she doesn't know if it was a race volunteer or a spectator). She was then escorted back to the start. She was happy to still receive a medal but I was trying to hide the angst I was feeling of not knowing where she was for over 30 minutes.

"Difficult to get better than this!" (about: 2012)

Loved this race from start (sign up) to finish. The organization is superb! I was informed throughout the entire season, and felt really pumped and enthusiastic the morning of the race, even with this year's balmier conditions.
Pre-race expo was fantastic, with lots of booths, and even a set up by the local running store, so you could buy any last minute items.
Packet pick-up was a breeze, and parking was great, easy in and easy out.
Post-race food selection was amazing!
The course for the full-marathon is mostly flat, with the major hills just about the half-way mark.
I will definitely run this race again, and if I don't, I'm going to find out what I can do to volunteer.

The location, the aid stations, the spectators, the organization, the hype, the cause...all of them are the best quality I have ever seen in a race.

"Wonderful 1st marathon" (about: 2012)

This was my first Marathon. Everything about the race far exceeded my expectations. Communications prior to the race were excellent. The support along the course was phenomenal. The medical team at the finish line was an unexpected but greatly appreciated addition. They immediately took me to be cooled down and made sure I was feeling okay.
The weather was not the best for a Marathon, but race organizers did everything they could to make sure runners stayed safe and hydrated.

Thanks for a great race!

"Great course,expertly organized,for a great cause!" (about: 2012)

This was not only a great race, but the best overall race experience I've had yet! Communication from the race director Chris Fields and his team was frequent, thorough and clear starting many months before race day. The race is also for a great cause, raising money to rescue children from slavery in Ghana. 100% of proceeds go to this cause! The course itself is awesome, going all around College Station with 6 - 7 miles of it on the A&M campus. Mostly flat (flatter than Austin marathon). Course support was great. Plenty of water, Gatorade and food along the way. I'm sure I'm missing something but those are the highlights. Overall, best race experience I've ever had, and I'll be back next year!

"Best organized and scenic race!" (about: 2012)

Chris Fields did a fantastic job organizing this race and keeping everybody in the loop when the weather temperatures trended higher. The on-course support was perfect and the fans were out in abundance. I loved running through both cities and the A&M campus. Can't say enough about this race! I'll do the full next year!

Everything about this race is amazing. All of your registration fee goes to charity. The race director is amazing and very well organized. Great communication. Great food and drinks after the race. Lots of water/gatorade stations throughout. Get two shirts and an awesome medal. This race should be on your schedule every year.

This was a fantastic race! Good course, good people. The food at the end was amazing! We needed a few more trashcans and toilet paper, but other than that, everything was wonderful! Thanks especially for providing more stops and medical care due to the weather - it was much needed.
