"Great race for beginners and long-time marathoners" (about: 2015)

The race organization always does its best to accommodate the runners. For example, this year, it rained the entire time. At the finish line, runners were greeted with dry towels, in addition to an awesome long-sleeved finisher's shirt and extremely cool, spinning medal. Plus, the finish line food is always ample and delicious! This was my fourth time to run this race.

"Smaller race in Texas through Aggieland" (about: 2015)

A smaller race in Texas, but pretty well organized and decent course through Traditions golf course and the campus of Texas A&M. Good for a first timer and for folks that are not wanting to fight super large crowds & long waits at the corals.

All the 2015 race medals and shirts had a very heavy emphasis on their five year anniversary. While this is a great accomplishment, I would recommend organizers to theme future medals around other elements in BCS or Aggieland.

Overall, organizers did a good job handling the heavy rain in 2015. There is not much one can do about a weather forecast, but there were still officers & volunteers out on the course smiling & cheering on runners!

"Corral Assignments Unclear" (about: 2015)

First Marathon

My bib had my birthdate written in the area under corral. When I showed up to run the full marathon I didn't know which corral I was supposed to line up in to stay with my pace group, so I started with the half marathoners. My suggestion would be to post the corral and pace on the website before hand and have a matching sign at the race. Ex. ( Corral E - Full Marathon 4:00-4:15) You all did such a great job with this race especially with the weather. I am so glad I chose BCS for my first marathon!!

It set the bar very high for my future races.

"I keep coming back!" (about: 2015)

This was my fourth time. Reasonably flat course which takes you through the TAMU campus between mile 17 and 24 where student organizations cheer you on and provide a pleasant distraction. I wish the run was one week earlier this year as a number of students were either in finals or had gone home already.

"Booming start and quick finish line!" (about: 2015)

I loved the fireworks at the start! They sent me off to a great start! And I also love that the finish line 'right there!' Some races I feel like I'm running forever as the finish line approaches.

Great flat route that runs straight through A&M campus with many student organizations cheering on! Frequent water/Gatorade/food & first aid stops. Awesome food at the end. Great quality shirts and medals. For a great cause - Mercy Project. And friendly staff.

Great race despite very poor weather conditions. The fireworks at the start brightened a dismal weather morning for running.

"I loved this Race even in the rain!" (about: 2015)

First Marathon
COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 4

This race was so well organized. The race staff kept us informed through every step leading up to the race and through the race. The weather was foretasted as thunder storms for race morning and the race staff made sure that everyone knew the status of the race. They did so much to ensure our safety. This was my first full marathon and when I finished the race director gave me a hug and congratulated me.
